Water as Medicine: Reclaiming the Healing Intelligence of Water in the Modern World
Online Two-Part Workshop
Saturday, March 7th & Sunday, March 8th
Water is not just something we drink. The quality of our water and how we drink it can either support our digestion and vitality or quietly undermine our health.
In a time of heavy metals, microplastics, pathogens, agricultural runoff, pharmaceutical residues, and endless marketing claims about “alkaline,” “structured,” and “premium” water, it is harder than ever to know what to drink and how much. The question is no longer just “Are you hydrated?” but “Is your water truly serving your health?”
Water as Medicine is a two-part workshop that bridges classical Ayurvedic wisdom with practical, real-world application.
In Part 1, Dr. Satyajith Kadkol explores how water’s qualities change based on source, temperature, storage, and preparation—and how these directly influence digestion, circulation, inflammation, and tissue hydration. You will gain clarity around how much water to drink, when to drink it, and why modern hydration advice often misses the mark.
In Part 2, Chef Divya Alter translates these teachings into practical guidance for today’s home: how to evaluate your tap or well water, which filtration systems actually work, how to avoid common hydration mistakes, and how to prepare herbal waters for targeted support.
This workshop offers clarity and practical tools so you can practice conscious hydration for optimal health. This is a live online class, and the replay will be sent to all registrants.

The Ayurvedic Science of Water
With Dr. Satyajith Kadkol
Saturday, March 7th (10 am – 1 pm ET)

In this foundational session, Dr. Satyajith Kadkol presents the classical Ayurvedic understanding of water through traditional texts and clinical insight.
You will learn:

• How boiling, storage, reheating, and storage materials change water’s qualities
• Acidic, alkaline, and neutral water and their effects on inflammation and hypertension

• How to determine how much water you truly need
• Why overhydration can weaken digestion
• When to drink hot versus cold water
• Morning water and water with meals
• Therapeutic waters: copper, silver, gold, clay, and herbal infusions
• Common hydration mistakes that disturb agni
We will also address popular hydration myths:
• Is eight glasses right for everyone?
• Does clear urine equal health?
• Can you drink too much water?
• Are cold smoothies truly hydrating?
This session resolves confusion around modern hydration trends and restores water to its role as medicine.
