Ayurvedic Nutrition and Culinary Training (ANACT)

Learn to Cook with the Intelligence of Ayurveda

Transform the way you understand food, digestion, and healing through this comprehensive program.

ANACT is an immersive online program that teaches you to prepare delicious food that supports digestion, balance, and well-being—whether for yourself, your family, your clients, or your community.

You’ll also connect with a supportive community of like-minded people, learning from one another and staying inspired, motivated, and uplifted along the way.

Two Levels of Training:

Foundations is for anyone who wants to learn how to cook and eat according to the principles of Ayurveda—whether you’re a home cook, chef, Ayurvedic practitioner or consultant, yoga instructor, wellness professional, or student of Ayurveda.

Professional* builds on Foundations and is designed for those who want to apply Ayurvedic nutrition and culinary principles professionally—from food service and wellness businesses to holistic healthcare, postpartum care, recipe development, cookbook writing, and more.

Students may complete Foundations on its own or continue to Professional.

*ANACT Foundations is a prerequisite for ANACT Professional.

The training is vegetarian (no meat, fish, or eggs), with dairy-free and gluten-free options included. If you have other specific dietary needs, please contact us to learn whether the recipes and training can be adapted for you.

Choose How You Want to Learn

ANACT Foundations offers three ways to participate, so you can choose the level of flexibility, interaction, and personal guidance that best fits your capacity and goals.

Self-Paced
Learn independently, on your own schedule. Register at any time and receive access to the complete ANACT Foundations curriculum, with approximately 110 hours of recorded classes, recipes, and learning resources. You may submit questions by email, but this tier does not include access to live sessions or the cohort experience.

Guided
Learn alongside the current ANACT cohort through approximately 150 hours of learning, including recorded and live classes, faculty Q&A sessions, Office Hours, community discussions, and opportunities to connect and learn with fellow students. You’ll have access to all recordings and course materials, without the requirement to complete homework assignments, the recipe project, or exams.

Certification
Receive the most comprehensive and personalized ANACT experience, with approximately 250 hours of learning and practice. In addition to everything included in Guided, you’ll join a small Mentorship Circle led by an ANACT Professional graduate, meeting twice a month for personal guidance, discussion, and support. You’ll deepen and demonstrate your learning through practical assignments, a recipe project, and assessments, and upon successful completion, earn your ANACT Foundations Certificate.

The ANACT Learning Experience

  • 24 in-depth live and pre-recorded lessons combining Ayurvedic theory, nutrition, culinary knowledge, cooking demonstrations, and hands-on practice.

  • Learn from your own kitchen. Many classes include cooking demonstrations that allow you to observe techniques, ingredients, and methods in detail, then practice what you’ve learned on your own time.

  • Live Q&A sessions and office hours give Guided and Certification students opportunities to ask questions and deepen their understanding.

  • Small-group mentorship provides Certification students with additional personal guidance and support.

  • Practical assignments and assessments help Certification students integrate their knowledge and demonstrate competency.

  • A comprehensive online learning platform gives all students access to class recordings, recipes, photos, readings, and supporting resources.

  • Community connection gives Guided and Certification students opportunities to engage with their cohort, participate in discussions, and learn from one another.

  • Recordings provide flexibility. Guided and Certification students are encouraged to attend live whenever possible, but recordings are available when they cannot.
